Visit Pulgas Water Temple for a Serene Picnic Spot in Redwood City

July 21, 2017

The Pulgas Water Temple is a monument to commemorate the terminus of the Hetch Hetchy aqueduct. There is a short walk from the parking lot down to the temple area. It is not much of a “hike” but more of  a serene place to hang out for a picnic. The kids can run and/or roll down the grassy hill and enjoy the view. While the parking lot has a limit of 30 minutes only I am not sure how often anyone is policing this. I assume it is to discourage people for hanging out for too long. It’s worth a visit if you are in the area.
